Vote Rev PAC, the creator of Postcards for Friends, has created this privacy notice to explain how we use and protect information that you may provide while visiting the PostcardsforFriends.org website (the "Site") and to demonstrate our firm commitment to Internet privacy.
Vote Rev PAC may modify this policy from time to time so we encourage you to check this page when revisiting this site. This privacy policy is effective as of February 9, 2026. It only applies to the Site and does not apply to Vote Rev PAC's other websites.
The Postcards for Friends site collects names and addresses from you. Vote Rev PAC and United We Can, our partner for this project, uses this information to send you and people you designate ("Friends") postcards (by mail and/or text message) with reminders to vote. We may also request a phone number we can use to update you about your postcards. This information is the only personal information that we collect. In the event that Vote Rev PAC collects personal information beyond what has been specified here, we will provide specific notice to users at the time of collection.
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel technologies to analyze website traffic and user behavior. These services may collect information such as:
This information is used to generate aggregate reports about website usage patterns and does not personally identify individual users.
You can opt out of these tracking technologies by:
These third-party services are governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy for more information about their data practices.
We use this information to send postcards (by mail and/or text message) at your request, and assist with developing and evaluating Vote Rev PAC programs or the programs of our affiliates.
Except as described in this privacy policy, we will never send any personal information that you provide to us, to any third party for any purpose.
Vote Rev PAC complies with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). CalOPPA requires organizations to inform users of whether the website responds to Do Not Track signals. Some internet browsers have incorporated "Do Not Track" features. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret DNT signals, nor a common definition of "tracking", we do not currently respond to DNT signals on the Site.
This privacy policy covers this Site and its subdomains. These sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies and review the practices of all websites you visit.
We keep information about our users confidential, except that we may make it available to others for the following, limited purposes: We may disclose personal information (1) to United We Can and its affiliates, (2) when we have a good-faith belief that release is appropriate to comply with the law (for example, a lawful subpoena), (3) to protect our rights or property, or to protect our users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, (4) if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay, or (5) as necessary to carry out any requests made by you. Specifically, the names, addresses, and photo you supply will be provided to our printing and mailing vendors in order to send the postcards you requested.
Non-profit organizations are not subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Therefore, because Vote Rev PAC is a nonprofit, tax-exempt section 527 organization, we are not subject to the CCPA.
We want to help you guard your children's privacy. We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their personal information while using the Internet. Vote Rev PAC complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). COPPA governs the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. Vote Rev PAC strictly prohibits any use of the Site by a child under the age of 13. Vote Rev PAC does not knowingly collect, use or distribute such children's personal information to any third parties.
In the event that we become aware that the Site has collected information from a child under the age of 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from all Vote Rev PAC databases. If you are aware that Vote Rev PAC has obtained information from a child under the age of 13, please send an email to hi@postcardsforfriends.org specifying your concern, and we will delete the information.
If you have any reservations, questions or concerns about your child's access to the Site or how information that your child provides is used by us, please contact us.
If you wish to have your information removed or want to cancel sending any postcards you have requested, email hi@postcardsforfriends.org and we will try to accommodate your request. Note that postcard data is sent to our printing vendor around one week or more before election day, so, depending on the timing of your request, it may no longer be possible to cancel postcards.
We may revise and update this Privacy Policy if we change privacy practices, add new site features, or change existing site features. We will post notice to this site of any substantive changes to our Privacy Policy.
This website and Vote Rev PAC are based in the United States, the Site is directed to U.S. residents, and we process and store information in the U.S. We do not knowingly collect personal information about individuals residing in the European Union.
